Winchester Youth Counselling is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Hannah Reidy as their new Chief Executive Officer. Hannah will officially assume her role at the start of September 2024, marking a new chapter in the charity’s ongoing commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of young people in the Winchester area.

With over 20 years of service, Winchester Youth Counselling has been a cornerstone of the community, providing essential, free counselling and support to 11-25 year-olds and their families. The charity’s work has become increasingly important as young people face mounting pressures from social media, academic expectations, and the ongoing challenges posed by the post-pandemic world.

The appointment of Hannah Reidy, who is a seasoned professional with a strong background in charity management and clinical practice as a qualified psychologist, underscores the charity’s dedication to delivering high-quality services to those in need. She is keen to bring this experience to Winchester Youth Counselling and is committed to ensuring that the charity continues to adapt to the evolving needs of the community, with a particular focus on inclusivity and accessibility.

Hannah shares “I am passionate about youth mental health and am looking forward to helping to continue Winchester Youth Counselling’s vital work supporting local young people.”

As she steps into her new role, Hannah aims to build on the strong foundation laid by her predecessors, ensuring that Winchester Youth Counselling remains a lifeline for young people facing mental health challenges. She is also enthusiastic about exploring new opportunities for the charity to engage with the community, enhance its services, and foster partnerships with other local organisations.
