Watercress Way Sponsored Walk

A big thank you to everyone who took part on Sunday, 15th August.

Cllr Vivian Achwal was appointed as the 822nd Mayor of Winchester on 18th May 2021.

Cllr Achwal is supporting Winchester Youth Counselling, Friends of the Family and The Eight Foundation under the umbrella charity, The Mayor of Winchester’s Charities. Winchester Youth Counselling is honoured to be one of charities chosen and we would like to thank the Mayor for recognising our work.

The Mayor of Winchester’s Charities held a Sponsored Walk event on Sunday 15th August 2021 to raise much needed funds for all three of the Mayor’s Charities.

The 10 mile long, Watercress Way Sponsored Walk started at Abbey House, Winchester and followed the Watercress Way to Itchen Abbas and then finished back at Abbey House.

We are very grateful to everyone who took part, or sponsored participants in this very successful event which has raised almost £3000. We would also like to thank all the Marshalls who volunteered their time to help guide the walkers and ensure everyone’s safety.
