Nature Therapy News Img 18 25 Yrs

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new weekly Nature Therapy Group for 18–25-year-olds, starting on Thursday 25th September, from 2.15pm – 3.30pm at the tranquil Pinsent Campsite.

These sessions, which will run weekly during term time (unless otherwise advised), offer a unique opportunity for young adults to connect with themselves, others, and the natural world in a safe, supportive setting. Whether you’re looking for space to unwind, reduce stress, or simply enjoy being outdoors, our nature therapy group is a gentle and welcoming place to start.

Each session is thoughtfully structured while allowing freedom to engage in a way that feels right for you. We begin by meeting in the car park before walking together through the woods to a peaceful outdoor wooden roundhouse. Here, we open our circle using a talking stick to share how our week has been. There’s never any pressure to speak, only an invitation.

Once the group is settled, we explore the woodland through either a ‘sit spot’, a quiet moment in nature, or a ‘wild wonder’ to gently connect with our surroundings. You’re then welcome to join in with an optional activity, which could be anything from clay modelling, bug hunting or yoga, to creative writing, painting, or even star gazing. If the weather allows, we may also build a campfire and share food, stories, or silence around the flames.

We close each session by gathering in a circle once again to reflect and share a moment of gratitude, helping to build a sense of connection and community over time.

Referrals can be made by emailing admin@winchyc.org or outdoors@winchyc.org, or by calling our team on 01962 820444.

We understand that transport can be a barrier, so lifts from Winchester train station to Pinsent can be arranged if needed.

Nature has a unique way of helping us feel grounded, calm and more connected and we’re thrilled to offer this space for young adults to experience just that.

If you or someone you know might benefit from joining, please do get in touch.
