Parent Support Programme – Understanding and supporting neurodivergent young people

The topic for July is Understanding and supporting neurodivergent young people

Discussions:

  • The double empathy problem.
  • What is it like as a parent, having an autistic child?
  • Attempting to understand their perspective (‘inside and outside the box’ )

For parents/carers of young people aged 11-25, the sessions will be delivered by clinical experts and will provide an opportunity to meet other parents/carers who support children or young people experiencing mental health and/or emotional difficulties.

This session will be held at Solent Mind Wellbeing Centre on Parchment Street. Please note, booking is essential.
