WYC Hosts Their First Ever Corporate Wellbeing Day in Winchester

On Friday 1st August, Winchester Youth Counselling held its very first Corporate Wellbeing Day, a new initiative designed to promote mental wellbeing and connection through nature-based activities in a relaxed, outdoor setting.
The event took place at the beautiful Symondians Cricket Club in St Cross, Winchester, offering the perfect backdrop for a day focused on self-care and reflection.
Attendees were invited to take part in a range of nature therapy and wellbeing activities facilitated by members of the WYC team. From grounding exercises to group reflection, the day was designed to help individuals reconnect with themselves and one another, away from screens, deadlines, and the usual distractions of the working week.

Reflecting on the day, WYC’s Development Manager, Erin, said:
“We had a wonderful time at our first corporate wellbeing day. A big thank you to those who participated in our nature therapy and wellbeing activities, and we’ve all come away feeling relaxed and energised.”
We received feedback from attendees with one saying “I loved the calmness of the day. It was comforting to give myself permission to stop and actually spend time wandering and looking around me rather than being held ransom by my phone. I felt calmer, clearer and it made me realise how much I miss being outside”.

This pilot event marks the beginning of WYC’s expansion into tailored wellbeing days for organisations and businesses looking to invest in the mental health of their teams. Using our expertise in nature therapy and group facilitation, we aim to support local workplaces in cultivating healthier, more resilient teams through time spent in nature.
Our new corporate wellbeing offer is just one of the ways we’re working to promote wellbeing across the wider community.
